Meet the Staff
Jeff Gill - Owner
Jeff was born and raised in East County where he and his wife raised four sons. Jeff's early interest in music led him to taking piano lessons and trumpet lessons as a kid. When the Beatles hit in 1964, Jeff started playing rock-n-roll drums "to impress girls" which quickly progressed into a love for Jazz.
After graduating from LMC Jeff transferred to CSUN where he was the principal percussionist in the university wind ensemble. Jeff now spends most of his musical time drumming hard on his Ginger Baker (Cream) double bass drum kit or playing jazz piano with variety of uber-talented friends.
Daniel Worden - Manager
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Dan has been playing music ever since he borrowed his big sisters light up Casio-tone keyboard to teach himself Greensleeves. Over the past 14 years he’s been playing music in indie projects, garage punk bands and finger-picking folk stuff.
In 2015 Dan moved to Renton Washington for a year to study band instrument repair at RTC. Once he got his certificate he came back to the Bay Area and resumed his role at Gills Music as Store Manager and Repair Tech.
